Kanye West's Yeezy Season 3 fashion show / listening party is starting to wrap up over at Madison Square Garden, and the early viewership numbers are insane. According to a Tidal press release, over 20 million people attempted to watch the stream at its peak. It's unclear how viewership held up throughout the broadcast, which stretched out over almost two hours. We'll include that information once it's available.
Representatives for the service also chalked up some early technical issues — people had trouble watching the stream at high bitrates — to AMV and Akamai, the companies responsible for the stream's technical aspects. (AMV is a digital media company, and Akamai is a "content delivery network.") So Dame Grease decided to make use of the buffer going on this afternoon during the Live Stream dropped The Life of El Grease. The EP features five hits featuring Bigga Threat, David Bowie, 808 Blake & Johnny J. Listen, Like, Download and Share.

The men behind the Beyonce "Formation" intro ft. Messy May & Big Freedia |@bigfreedia @Beyonce2/10/2016 New Orleans shares the spotlight with Beyonce in her new video, “Formation,” and that’s no accident: The aftermath of Katrina is part of Bey’s not-so-subtle sociopolitical messaging. The song even includes vocals from icon Big Freedia & Messy Mya. On Saturday night, Beyonce broke the internet once again, dropping a music video for her new song "Formation," which she performed live at the Super Bowl less than 24 hours later. At the one minute and ten second mark of the track, there's a spoken-word interlude, with a fierce voice calling out, "I didn't come to play with you hoes, I came to slay bitch." The speaker was none other than New Orleans performer Big Freedia, best known for being one of the city's premier bounce artists, and who's collaborated with everybody from American drag queen RuPaul to Diplo. She also wrote an autobiography, God Save The Queen Diva!, which came out last year.

And another one. Less than three weeks after dropping his mixtape Purple Reign, Future re-ups with his latest project, EVOL, via his new deal with Apple Music. EVOL, which premiered on DJ Khaled’s We the Best Radio on Beats 1, features 11 tracks including the anthemic opener “Ain’t No Time,” the pill-popping ode “Xanny Family,” lead single “Fly Shit Only,” and The Weeknd-assisted“Low Life.” Meanwhile, Future singles out his favorite cuts as “Seven Rings” and“Lil Haiti Baby,” which was partly recorded in Haiti.
