It’s been over 15 years since the 50-year-old rapper and super producer made his last album, 2001. Speculation built over the last few years about the potential release of an album called Detox, but Dre has yet to say anything about whether that record might come to fruition. Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, plans to donate the money he makes from the album to the children of Compton, Los Angeles. “I decided to donate all the artist royalties from the album for the kids in Compton,” he told Beats 1 Thursday, according to Hip Hop Wired. “I feel like it’s the right thing to do and I just hope everybody appreciates all the hard work I’ve put into this album.”

The first official hip-hop project from New York rapper Brad Hester is a musical ensemble of 7-tracks in which the lyricist talks about being young and ambitious. Based mostly on his life experiences, "Momentum" is more than heavy beats and catchy lyrics, Brad Hester's new EP is food for thought with a great overall message.
